Okay, so when I signed up for this thing, they absolutely insisted that I give it a name. I threw my hands in the air and typed "whatever" and that is what it's called.
Mostly I plan to review pens, paper and inks; talk about postcards, letter writing and journaling; and, of course, our Akitas and life in general, but you just never know.
Love your discussion of the Akita's pro's and cons. The very few times I have seen one they always made the impression they could not be disturbed by even the world going under. It is one of the very few times I have seen intelligence mentioned as both a pro and a con. Question on your Waterman 42: you say it's a Waverly flex. Would that be similar to Pilot's WA (Waverly) nib? Excluding the vintage/modern nib difference of course. I'm trying to decide which of their very large range of nibs would suit me, so I'm trying to get as much input as I can find.
I think Akita's are too smart for some people because they really think about what they are doing. Many dogs will just play and play, the Akitas will play for a while and then look at you and say "ok, that's enough, let's do something different this is getting dull." I had to laugh at the Waverly flex, that is actually Loverly. Just being silly with the word lovely.
OK. Let's say your capital letters are sometimes a bit ... different from the usual. I don't think I ever mistook L for W before. Never too old to learn!
